5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and third parties may use cookies, pixels, scripts, local storage, and similar technologies.

Some technologies are necessary for account login, security, checkout, subscription management, and core functionality. Other technologies are used for analytics, user-experience research, campaign measurement, and advertising.

Depending on your location, we may be required to obtain consent before using non-essential technologies. Where consent controls are provided, you can use them to accept, reject, or change your preferences. You can also control cookies through your browser settings, although blocking essential cookies may affect the Services.

5.1 Plausible Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate website traffic and events such as page views and selected button clicks. Plausible is designed to provide aggregated, privacy-focused analytics without using cookies or persistent cross-site identifiers.

5.2 Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors interact with the website through tools such as heatmaps, interaction analytics, and session replays.

Clarity may process information such as clicks, scrolls, mouse movements, page rendering, device information, browser information, IP-derived location, and pseudonymous identifiers. Do not enter confidential or sensitive information into public website fields.

5.3 Meta Pixel

We use the Meta Pixel to measure advertising performance, understand whether visitors take selected actions, build audiences, and improve or personalize advertising on Meta platforms.

Meta may receive information such as:

  • pages viewed;
  • referring URLs;
  • cookie or device identifiers;
  • selected website events, such as visiting a page or proceeding to checkout; and
  • other information processed under Meta’s terms and privacy notice.

Meta may combine this information with information associated with your Meta account or activity on other websites and services, subject to Meta’s policies and your settings.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, the use of advertising pixels may be considered “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or a similar regulated activity under certain privacy laws. See Section 13 for applicable opt-out rights.

5.4 YouTube

The website uses a click-to-load YouTube video. The YouTube player is intended to load only after you choose to play the video.

When the player loads, Google/YouTube may receive device, browser, IP address, cookie, video-viewing, and interaction information under Google’s privacy terms. Your activity may be associated with your Google account if you are signed in.

5.5 Google Fonts and Other Website Infrastructure

The website may request fonts and other technical resources from third-party content-delivery or infrastructure providers. Those providers may receive technical request information such as your IP address, browser information, and the requested resource.

8. International Data Transfers

Lingua Horizon and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, including the United States and countries where our service providers operate.

Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use or rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms and safeguards, such as adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, contractual protections, or another lawful mechanism.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information.

No online service, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your password, using a unique password, and notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

12. EEA, UK, and Swiss Users

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have the rights described in Section 11.

You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence, place of work, or the location of an alleged infringement. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve your concern.

Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may request information about the balancing assessment relevant to that processing.
