How do the lessons work?
The lessons are delivered on a weekly basis. Every Monday, you get a video, a worksheet and practice exercises with corrections, adapted to your level. Twice a month, you can also join the live streams, which are held for each level on adapted topics, to learn more about informal French and French culture. Also, you can practice conversation anytime with me and other students in your level group in the guided chats.
What if I am too busy to complete a module one week?
If you happen to miss a week, don't worry: all past lessons and live streams remain available for you to catch up on anytime.
How do I know my starting level?
When you join, you'll access a comprehensive placement guide to help you select the correct level (A1 - C1) for your current skills.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings page, no questions asked.
What does a typical week look like?
Every Monday, a new lesson is released for each level. You can watch the video when it suits you, usually in about 15 to 25 minutes. During the week, you work through the worksheet and practice exercises at your own pace. At any time, you can participate in the guided chat to practice writing, even with very short messages. Twice a month, you can also join a live stream for your level, or watch the replay later if you can't attend. Most members spend between one and three hours per week, depending on their goals and availability.
What if I'm shy or afraid to speak?
That's completely normal, and many members feel the same at the beginning. Conversations in the community are always in written form and are not mandatory. You can start by simply watching the lessons and reading the chats, then gradually write short messages, and participate more when you feel more confident. The goal is to help you progress at your own rhythm, without pressure or judgment.
What kind of progress can I expect?
With regular participation, you can expect to understand spoken French more easily, express yourself with more confidence, and feel more comfortable in everyday situations. What if I'm between two levels or my level changes?
It's very common to feel between two levels, especially when your comprehension is stronger than your speaking. If your level changes over time or if you feel more comfortable in another group, switching levels is easy. I'm always available to help you choose the level that suits you best.
What is the community atmosphere like?
The community is friendly, supportive, and moderated. The focus is on learning and helping each other, not on being perfect or showing off. Corrections are kind, optional, and adapted to your level, so you can learn without feeling overwhelmed or judged.
What happens after I join?
Once you join, you get immediate access to the community and choose your level. You start with the current week's lesson, join the guided chats, and gradually build confidence through regular practice. Small wins come quickly, and over time, expressing yourself in French feels more natural and less stressful.
I'm a beginner. Is this too difficult for me?
